  • Complex chronic oedema case studies including chronic wounds
  • Compression across lymphoedema and wound care
  • Diabetic foot and lymphoedema

  • Imaging and diagnostics including assessment strategies
  • International education
  • LIMPRINT driving global improvement in care delivery
  • Children LIMPRINT
  • Lipoedema
  • National frameworks and other community organisation initiatives
  • Outcome measures for lymphoedema
  • Patient collaboration and support
  • Prevention of pressure ulcers
  • Psychosocial and qualitative research
  • Self-management (self-efficacy)
  • Venous leg ulcers: state of the art
The Scientific Committee Board will review all abstracts.
 
Please ensure that you read the guidelines and conditions below before submission. 
 
These guidelines and conditions are implemented to assist with a clear and concise presentation format, to facilitate the assessment process of the Scientific Board.  

Abstract Guidelines


It is recognised that some papers may not fit the suggested structure exactly, so some flexibility will be taken into consideration. Please aim to include one or two key references and where appropriate and include results (even if preliminary).

  • Conclusions
The word limit is a maximum of 400 words.
 
Please include full author name and place of work / affiliation address.
 
All abstracts must be submitted in English.
 
Accepted abstracts will be published within the Official Conference App and also on the ILF Conference Website.
 
Please ensure that the email address submitted is correct, as this email address will be used to communicate acceptance or rejection.

Abstract Conditions

 
Abstract Category 
The ILF Scientific Committee will be responsible for designating abstracts submitted for either poster or oral presentations. Abstracts are required for both intended categories.
 
Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published within the Official Conference App and also on the ILF Conference Website.
 
Withdrawal of Abstracts 
Withdrawal of abstracts only be accepted if requested in writing and confirmed by the ILF Scientific Board. It is only possible to withdraw an abstract within 14 days after the notification of acceptance.

Presenting Author
The presenting author must register as a full conference attendee to be eligible for submission, within 14 days of abstract submission or the ILF reserves the right to exclusion. 
 
Author Responsibility
It is the responsibility of all authors that all studies are performed with respect to the national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines. The Scientific Committee reserve the right to reject any submitted abstracts that is believed to violate these principles.
 
Trials in Progress
Trials in progress are welcomed in the form of abstracts describing the protocol of on-going research and in the form of completed trials ready for publication. However, abstracts describing a trial which has not progressed to completion are likely to be rejected by the review committee 
Late-breaking abstracts will not be accepted at this conference.
 
Abstracts submitted by Patients
Patients or patient associations are welcome to submit abstracts for free paper and poster presentations
All abstracts, no matter the status / profession of the submitter, will be marked and reviewed on scientific merit.  
 
Deadline Extension
If you are working on an abstract and are not able to finalise before the deadline, please contact the ILF Conference Secretariat to request an individual short extension of the submission deadline.
