2020 will be a year we won’t forget in a hurry. But here we are in the last few days of it and with some prospect of better things to come.
For patients who have had to miss appointments, for professionals who have had to change their roles, and for the medical device industry whose future must have been difficult to foresee in the economic climate, not many of us will have escaped the impact of this pandemic.
But we go forward into the new year with HOPE because, amongst other things, of the development of vaccines and with that a revised sense of purpose. So, it may be that the new ‘normal’ in life will not be the old ‘normal’. It may be different and hopefully it will be better.
Be assured that we at the ILF will be continuing to work together towards creating a better everyday life for people worldwide living with lymphoedema and related disorders.
Season’s greetings to each and everyone of you.
On behalf of the ILF Board of Directors,
Chair of the International Lymphoedema Framework
