Post conference press release: ILF 2019 held in Chicago, USA

For immediate release

The 9th International Lymphoedema Framework conference was co-hosted by the American Lymphedema Framework and was the first time the international event was held in the USA.

Chicago was the venue where the 2019 International Lymphoedema Framework Conference brought together clinicians, researchers, industry providers, healthcare providers, advocacy groups and patients, with the goal of sharing knowledge and furthering lymphology for the benefit of all those affected by lymphedema and related disorders. The meeting was multidisciplinary and patient focused: with an emphasis on improving lymphedema outcomes through innovation and collaboration.

The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine designated this live activity for a maximum of  23.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™.

The 2019 conference scientific committee and faculty included an impressive roster of opinion experts in the field across a wide range of disciplines including lymphology, genetics, pathology, oncology, dermatology, surgery, imaging, psychology, wound care and more. Over the three  day event more than 72 topics were contributed from oral and poster presentations.  There were 406 delegates from 28 countries represented. All in all, it was a successful event.

Here are but a few quotes from conference delegates, speakers and committee members:
