When you are living with a disease that appears to be of so little interest to the medical profession at large how can we make people aware of the size and impact of this condition. The ILF recently undertook a prevalence study looking at just this. Working with 9 countries and seeing over 13,000 patients showed us something of the depth of suffering that is happening. If you would like to see some of the results please look at Lymphatic Research and Biology, April 2019. There is still a great deal of information to be downloaded and this will be published at a later date. But it shows the continuing need for further research into treatments and, hopefully, a cure.
