Changes in the ILF Board of Directors

Three board members have recently resigned and/or stepped down at the end of their terms. We thank them all for their tremendous contributions and wish them success in their future endeavors:

Prof. Peter Franks (London, England), along with Christine Moffatt was a founding member of the ILF since 2009, also serving as the ILF’s official Company Secretary for many years. At the recent 2019 ILF Conference, Peter was appointed Honorary Board Member, recognizing his outstanding contribution as an ILF founding member, driving forward the international framework concept and for his continuous support of ILF research projects, most notably the Observational Study and LIMPRINT Study analysis.

Prof. Vaughan Keeley (Derby, England) was one of the original ILF board members, serving since 2009. He served as Deputy Chair and Vice Chair for several years. In addition to his many contributions to the ILF research projects focusing on children, LIMPRINT and Outcome Measures project, he served on numerous ILF scientific conference committees and was most recently Scientific Chair of the ILF conference in Rotterdam.  He continues to be a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Lymphoedema, an official ILF publication.

Margaret Sneddon, RN (Glasgow, Scotland) served as a board member since her appointment in 2009. She led the planning committee for the ILF 2014 conference in Glasgow and participated in all of the conference planning committees since then. Her most significant contribution to the ILF was leading the LEBS – Lymphedema Education Benchmark Standards project. Although officially stepping down as a board member, Margaret will still be involved in this important project through a transition period.

The ILF warmly welcomes three new members to its Board of Directors:
