The American Lymphedema Framework Project (ALFP) has received the Research Dissemination Award from International Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau (STTI).
Jane Armer, director of ALFP, accepted the award at the 44th Biennial Convention of the STTI in Indiana, USA, in October 2017.
STTI honours nurses and healthcare professionals for their contributions to professional excellence with the 2017 International Awards for Nursing Excellence. The Research Dissemination Award recognizes an individual or group who has made a major contribution to the dissemination of research for use in clinical nursing practice, education, administration, research, and/or public knowledge.
Dissemination of research findings refers to a systematic effort or project that is directed toward making the essentials of completed research available to nurses or to the public in an accessible and usable format.
